Re: This April's Pension increase

I got my letter today as well, and mine's going up by £3 a week. Better than a kick in the wotsits.

I've never had a bus pass as I still (thankfully) have a car; I won't be requiring a TV licence benefit as I haven't had a TV for the last 4/5 years as it was a load of rubbish and yep, I'm grateful, despite not being retired at age 65 as I still work part-time, and am so glad I'm still able to.

To date I have worked full time for 45 years and the last five part-time, so methinks I've contributed enough into the kitty to expect a little bit back.

I haven't got my notification yet but it should be over £3 per week and that nice Mr Cameron has promised to protect our 'perks' if he remains at no.10 after the election

I think you will find that Mr Cameron will promise you the earth to get back in power again.
But they will only be false promises.

Re: This April's Pension increase

I originally planned to retire this year, home paid off and a bit in the bank, a cunning plan indeed, health and the condems put paid to that.

I have been given just over £4 a month pay rise, lekky has gone up £3 a month, council tax will take up whats left and then some, so unless my lottery comes up, and i can vacate corporate britain its downhill all the way im afraid for me.
