At What Age Did You Leave Home And Why?
I was 23 when l left home and it was to get married!My sisters and l, were very close and went everywhere together, so it was a huge wrench when l left home to live in my new house with my husband.
Can you remember the age that you left home and was there any specific reason as to why?

Married in 1972 at the age of 23 and moved into a top floor flat after returning from our honeymoon, two nights in a posh hotel. Although we paid a months rent we moved out after two weeks, it was the pits. Our second flat was over a chemist shop and very spacious. In 1973 at the age of 24 we moved into our bungalow that had just been built....Been there ever since.....

I left home at 19 to emigrate to Australia for a couple of years as a £10 pom. I had just finished my 'apprenticeship' as a GPO Telephones 'Youth in Training' and decided I needed some adventures. I never lived with my parents again.Never intended to stay in Australia and came back in 1968 to live in London (Finsbury Park and Brixton).

26, and it wasn't with a huge wench!
