Years ago I was holidaying in Yugoslavia when an elderly couple fell over a mountain and died. The police were asking all of us in the hotel if we had any information about what happened. Sadly, that's what I remember most about that holiday.

I went to West Kennet Long Barrow today .
It's very easy to get to and you just park in a lay by and walk to it .
The dog loves going there

Re: Where have you visited this summer?

I've not been on holiday yet, we go to Spain in 6 weeks.

I have been on a couple of weekends away and days out.

Been to Primrose Valley for the weekend twice with different groups of friends
Been to London with a friend for a weekend
Been to Skipton for the day twice with the hubby and Bridlington to visit my God daughter twice.

Can't wait for my Spanish holiday, it's my second home.

I was searching for my Sisters headstone (the burial area is twice the size since I was last there), silly bugger me forgot her surname was her married name at point of death, poor soul is well detached from her parents, not what she would have wished for.

Re: Where have you visited this summer?

Last year I went to my grandmothers grave .
I had not been there for some fifty+ years . We used to go with her to tend Granddads grave it only had a little pot on it no head stone .
When I got there the cemetery was huge with thousands of graves and yet my feet found the grave on their own .
I couldn't believe it .
