I don't believe you're right matey. I think that this could see another 'winter of discontent' given the potential attacks on Trade Union rights Cameron et al are now embarked upon.

Had a shock this week when I realised several of the Nepali workers cleaning with me are on less than NMW when I raised it with my lovely boss his reaction was to raise their wages to NMW then sting in the tail cut their hours to pay for it so they are actually worse off by about a pound an hour

I just can't understand a boss not realising he will get less than 100% out of workers unless he pays them properly and how anyone can be so mean they cannot see how some of their workers are so hard up they can't live a decent life. Why would anyone want to be the cause of that ?

Bosses and companies are not limitless money pits. If workers demand more than goods have to go up in price to pay for workers increased pay. So the workers are still no better off

Limitless pits - if they cannot afford to pay someone £6.50 for 2 1/2 hours a day they should not be in business IMO.
