Sounds almost routine but all surgery carries risks ..... good luck to him .....

Re: Jagger ill

As I understand it these valves are used for people who are too frail to have open heart surgery. It's not a perfect technology and they can require far more follow up maintenance than a tissue valve. Nothing can replicate nature yet.

Re: Jagger ill

I read that it's now considered the safer option they insert a tube through the groin so you are not cut at all and recovery takes about 2 weeks....marvellous what they can do these days apparently not too long ago to have the same procedure they had to cut you open and saw through your breast bone...I winced as I typed that

Yes it's so good to hear.
Not so good for the people who've forked out hundreds of pounds (or dollars) on hotels, concert tickets and flights to see the Stones in concert when Jagger was pictures a day later his hospital visit on a beach with his new granddaughter. Strange coincidence isn't it?

Re: Jagger ill

I found the preceding post somewhat confusing so here are the latest details:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/music...our/ar-BBVtdyr

1st April 2019, 11:39 am

MICK Jagger played with his two-year-old son Deveraux on a beach a day after his mystery illness forced the Rolling Stones to postpone their US tour.

The 75-year-old rocker was also joined by girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, 32, and model daughter Georgia May in Miami amid claims he is set to undergo heart valve replacement surgery this week.

Mick Jagger is reportedly recovering in New York after successfully undergoing heart surgery.

The Rolling Stones icon underwent heart valve replacement surgery yesterday and is thought to be resting up at New York’s Presbyterian hospital, according to Billboard.

Jagger is now being monitored by nurses after the minimally invasive procedure, which saw doctors repairing the valve by using a catheter that can access a major artery without any need to open the chest.

“He is resting and recovering well,” friends close to the legendary singer have said.
I can't see any "coincidence" .....
