After the previous budget debacle in 2012, Osborne sent one of junior ministers into an interview with Jeremy Paxman to defend the budget decisions. Needless to say the interview didn't go too well for this junior minister and she was demoted to the back-benches the following year. Now she intends to speak in the budget debate later today and will rip Osborne's budget apart.

I find it interesting that they can do a u-turn on cutting benefits but not on cutting the taxes for the better off. Now that they won't have the money to cover the tax cuts why don't they just say they can't do them?

Seems the debacle over the intended cuts to diability benefits is getting to the 'nasty party'. Whilst filming inside the central lobby of the Chamber, a demonstration of disabled people was taking place in the background, and the BBC were instructed to halt broadcasting immediately. How's that for freedom of expression???
