Re: Well, the project has begun

Found another urgent job that needed doing, our garage has a window in the rear, which some years ago I removed a broken pane of glass and replaced with a wood panel, well that panel and some of the surrounding wood had rotted, so I removed as much rot as I could and used a wood hardener to stabilise the remaining wood, then filled with wood filler, and sanded and painted the whole window ( including a new wooden panel) silicone the edges..job done.

Sorry Bruce, but are you confusing feet for metres?
Your 6 by 6 workshop/garage would be comparable to my own garage/workshop in metres.

I suspect Primus's shed is 10 foot X 8 foot.....3 metres X 2.5 metres....ish'

As is so often the case Primus, where one job leads to another....

Oh sorry, I thought it was metres. I am a bit disappointed as I was quite keen on your project because I thought 10m by 8m would be a great shed. I have a little tin shed 2.5m by 2.5m that I keep my mower, paint and fuel in.

Currently I have my old Garage/Workshop (as I said 6m by 6m) with a double carport next to it and I have often thought of knocking them both down and replacing them with a bigger shed say, 12m by 6m, so I was interested in your project. I was thinking of something like this but with only two doors and a work area.

Re: Well, the project has begun

Actually I made a mistake - my little tin shed is 3.2m by 3.2m not 2.5m square (memory failing again!). It is on a concrete slab I laid myself in strips using a borrowed mixer - again, probably 30 years ago.

I know it is a crap photo but my excuse is that it was taken directly into the sun. Actually looking at that I think it is probably time to get the Roundup out.

It does have a small window at the back but is is more practical than homely but sheds are great aren't they? Every bloke needs at least one shed.

Oh what fun.
It is too hot for building sheds.
Mine still needs painting by the way.
