Solicitors

Hi

I am in the midst of selling.

One of the solicitors involved, not mine, is a pompous prat, no sense of urgency and takes days to respond.

He is asking the most stupid questions and really has no idea at all.

He seems incapable of understanding that removal companies need notice.

I could grab him by the neck and shake him.

We have had no complaints about the solicitors we have employed over the years. When our previous one was on the point of retiring he insisted on doing our POA for free, as we had been with him so long.

We've kept our solicitor for years as he is so good even though he is a 6 hour drive away!

Delaying tactics. How else would they fatten up their already excessive bills?

I thought they were all pompous Tw*ts. My solicitor was so useless I ended up emailing the other solicitors involved, then got told off because it could cause a conflict of interest.

As an example, he sent the contract to us to sign and both our names were wrong. this was a solicitors office that came recommended with the conveyancing deal offered by the Estate agent, swish offices in London's West End apparently.

Often, a layer of Bullshit is required, to keep a chain together, even if your paying for it.

Solicitors, like dentists are the biggest rip EVER.

I have never understood how either can justify their charges / fees.

In my experience most solicitors are like this. I am sure there are exceptions but the ones I've dealt with expected me to do most of their job.
