Crash outside Parliament Square

Anyone heard about this at around 7.30 this morning?

A car was driven at speed and crashed into the barriers outside Parliament. See here:

They haven't given out the name of the driver who has been arrested . I don't know if this is usual but it always strikes me as ominous.

At least they got him though Muddy, he could have legged it but didn't. Maybe he was injured and that's why he didn't do a runner?

The news of this incident was reported extensively on BBC 'Breakfast' this morning, and will no doubt be widely reported again and again on News 24.

Hi

It takes time to check names, they could have false ID and biometrics may not be in the system.

Re: Crash outside Parliament Square

We were heading for London today, we saw the news and cancelled.
I have just seen that it is being regarded as a terrorist attack.

The problem with all these terrorist attacks is it gives all the dim wits, in this country, ideas on how to forcibly demonstrate! This means they have to go through lots of procedures before they can say is was done by terrorists, as it may not have been!

Personally I don't care if it is a terrorist or a dimwit, because they both deserve the same punishment for attacking innocent people.

The reason we can't punish, as harshly as we would like, is because the prisons can't cope with the amount of crime committed, so all the more reason to hang somebody who takes a life..... leaving more prison space to accommodate the other evil people in society!
