Our World War. Tv series

Watched all three of these last night and wish there were more. First shown in 2014 there are three one hour stories based on true events and real people during the first world war. Superbly acted and directed.

Well worth watching and available on iplayer.

I've taken a look at the episodes and I might have given Episode 1 a viewing, but then I noticed that the first title on the soundtrack was "the Invaders Must Die" by Prodigy and the other titles were similarly "modern", e.g. Groove Armada - Purple Haze, iTAL tEK - Endgame, Cat Power - Red Apples, so I didn't bother .....

But then:

The remit of BBC Three is to bring younger audiences to high quality public service broadcasting through a mixed-genre schedule of innovative UK content featuring new UK talent. The channel should use the full range of digital platforms to deliver its content and to build an interactive relationship with its audience. The channel's target audience is 16–34-year-olds.

Ignore the modern music (I hate that too) It really doesn't detract from the programmes. We were both sat on the edge of our seats watching these.

I do agree though that the BBC dickheads are not doing themselves any favours.
