That is true.

Jacob Rees Mogg, too, is coining it in at the moment from his investment companies in Ireland (an EU country, of course), and the Russian Federation (which he regularly and hypocritically slags off in parliament whenever he can):

It's OK be ing a "hard Brexiteer" when you are so rich that you will never suffer the harsh economic consequences of Brexit!

Rank hypocrisy.

You haven't been on enough marches and demonstrations then Julie darlin'. I was on the first Aldermaston march along with Michael Foot and a few others, Was on a number of Trade Union demonstrations with (amonst others) Vic Feather - General Secretary of TUC & Clive Jenkins - General Secretary ASTMS. On other demonstrations I was with Rodney Bickerstaffe - General Secretary Unison. All of these people started and completed the marches with me.

The plot, led by former Labour minister Yvette Cooper, was designed to create financial gridlock in Whitehall to prevent a no-deal outcome.

Another amendment, seeking to block Treasury tax-raising powers in the event of a no-deal Brexit was tabled by Lib Dem leader, Sir Vince Cable. It is backed by Scottish National Party, Plaid Cymru and Green MP Caroline Lucas.
Pro-Brussels supporters Nicky Morgan,Oliver Letwin and Nick Bowles back the move, Tory backbencher Sarah Wollaston and Labour Ms Hilary Benn, Rachel Reeves and Harriet Harman, who all chair Commons Select committees, also back the move.

So there you have it. The above named fifth columnists are sitting on their backsides in our own Parliament, (you can throw in Philip Hammond and Ollie Robbins in the mix as well)
Fully prepared to paralyse government,
There’s the Labour leadership playing politics and opposing the deal to create chaos and others promoting a second referendum in order to stop Brexit.

No-one in their right mind would wish the outcome to be a no-deal Brexit, simply because we would, as T M says ,be sailing into unchartered waters. But for our own treacherous Parliamentarians to actually plot against our own government and betray the only bargaining chip left in British negotiations???
What other name aptly describes them other than FIFTH COLUMNISTS WITHIN OUR MIDST.

I sincerely hope that all the above named traitors get their just rewards cometh the next election. To my mind, they should all be sitting in cells for aiding the enemy. (metaphorically speaking).

They are beneath contempt. Do you agree or disagree?

Re: Betrayal By Our Own MP's!

None of this manoeuvring would have happened if Theresa May had allowed proper open discussion on the matter instead of trying to shove her God-awful deal down MPs throats. My way or the highway will not cut the mustard inthe HOC, especially in a hung Parliament.

MPs on both side of the House will always use every procedural opportunity open to them to win the debate.

Meaning, for them the game and the victory are more important than the costs (to country and constituents)? Damn the torpedoes etc etc?

On BOTH sides . . . on BOTH sides of this (or any other) debate.

Most MPs are of the opinion (correctly, in my view) that, to use your word, the "costs" of Brexit would be catastrophic for the UK. No wonder they are making full use of the rule-book. Ditto the Brexiteers (but for their reasons).

I understand why you're saying that, but it's an exaggeration.

There are some decent ones amongst the shysters!
