Stupid Question.

I don't think this little grump belongs in the TV section as it's not so much about TV more about silly producers, but please move it if you see fit.
My wife loves to watch "Pointless" on the TV, I like it too, the presenters are witty and easy on the eyes and the two of them do a very professional job.
However, why does he have to ask that stupid question "What would you do if you won £xxxx.", I suppose it would be OK if it were the National lottery but yesterday it was only £1,000 to the winners, I am a man of modest means but the wife and me had to laugh, I mean would you go through all that embarrassment for £1,000? and then be asked how you were going to spent it. "Put it towards my electric bill" I would say or "Mind your own bleedin' business."
I don't blame the presenter who is told to ask the question, usually to fill in time, but could he not ask "How's your goldfish keeping this weather." or some similar stupid question just for a change.

Re: Stupid Question.

I think it is a 'pointless' programme. £1000 is a paltry sum of money and doesn't go very far at all.

Re: Stupid Question.

Very funny Jem and definitely agree with ya - in fact Hubbs runs the programme on at that point to get to the questions part

I agree it is a lot if you've nothing Julie but it wouldn't go far - buy you a new tv maybe, or pay the 'leccie' bill for a year, like Jimmy said.
I hate programmes where stupid questions are asked too

Can't help but think that anyone spending £1000 on a new TV has more money than sense.

Re: Stupid Question.

And it was shared so they would have got only £500 each. Mum and Dad having a holiday and one contestant buying new camera lens. Big deal!

And why does Xander have to repeat the answers on the board, is what I want to know.

By the way, I've been to two recordings. Richard is veeeeeeery tall!!!

Ania, Baggy, they were just examples - meant to be tongue in cheek.
There's no pleasing some.
