Whose Christmas Card/s Get Priority On Your Mantlepiece?

My children's cards do, of course!
Whose Christmas card gets priority on your mantlepiece?
Your child/children? Your spouse/partner? A special friend? Relatives? The dog, cat or budgie even?

I don't put cards up anymore since I got rid of a lot of stuff and have a minimalist house there are few surfaces on which to put cards and I don't like the clutter

I read the cards and put them in a draw with the exception of those made for me by my grandchildren, they go on the bookcase in the hall.

I've stopped sending them and haven't received any for decades.
What's a mantle thingy? Should I have one of those?

It is a shelf over the fire where some people display their bits and pieces Ploppy
I don't have one or any bits either, so don't worry if you haven't got one ..

Aaaww, thanks for that, Meg. I have a few bits and pieces, but I keep them in my shed. So I won't spend any money on a useless mantle. Especially if it has to be over the fire. A wooden one wouldn't last very long there, not to mention cards made from paper. Silly idea.

Don't send many, don't receive many

Those I do send are to family scattered around the country that we do see now and then so they are the ones stuck up somewhere ( don't have a mantle either)

Sorry to hear you have some stuck up family, Missy.
You probably haven't. It just sounded that way.

I hope you are going to put my one up in your shed Plops. And you're not to throw darts at it either.
