Re: Capitalizing on the situation

Ordered a Curry last Saturday on Just Eat, went on the Website at 2.30pm and was informed, the shop opened at 5.00pm, first delivery was 5.55pm so we booked that slot. When the staff arrived, they amended the time to 6.25pm fair enough, these are strange times, after a couple of phone calls, the food arrived at 8.25pm, guess what I won't be doing tonight.

Seems to me circumstances are being used as an excuse for sloppy service.

Under the present circumstances we're lucky to be getting ANY delivery service.

Well i can't use them again, after the bad review on Just Eat, I would not like to guarantee the quality of the food.

I let the fact that, the week before the Curry Shop did the same slip, I would never leave bad feedback on one experience.

Late, inflated price, after all is said and done. the Donner Meat and Chips with Hot Chilli Sauce was exemplary.

Re: Capitalizing on the situation

Ok, so I found out our favourite Indian Restaurant had opened again for Takeaway collection only, so, after the debacle with fudging the delivery prices from the other establishments, I thought lets go and collect, at least we will have an handle on the cost. Ok, so menu in hand I knew the normal discount for collection is 20%, but, on offer according to the sign on the door there was a 30% discount for NHS, and not being naive enough to think we would get both discounts, I anticipated getting the 30%. The total bill was £35.00 so 30% would have been £10.50 discount and 20% would have been £7.00. the guy handed me the food and said, that's £32.50 with your 30% discount, I didn't bother questioning it, no more takeaways till this crisis is proper over, and they can be held accountable for their pricing structure.

Re: Capitalizing on the situation

Ok, its that time of week again, a Saturday Night Takeaway on the cards, established it should be far cheaper to distance collect than delivery, and, so called discounts are now just a distraction, so, tonight I am going to add up the menu price before ordering, and, establish this cost on the phone before leaving the house to collect, this madness has to stop.

These are "Strange Times" when a person has to get a quote for a Takeaway.
