Mine are home gals anyway (I don't think they are even aware of the virus). I can't believe there has been an increase in the number of abandoned cats though since the message went out. I mean, who would do that? They can't have any connection with their pets at all.

A good sensible report Tabby.
The initial bad publicity did make me think though.

I remember when there were reports about someone laying trails of poison sausages for pets a while back, and sausages with glass in them too.
There was also the notorious cat beheader running amok, he killed many.

Made me wonder how long before we see the cat-haters using this Tiger publicity as an excuse to poison or harm people's pets all over again.

I hope this more sensible report gets as much publicity as the big cat report did!
There are certainly some nutters about.

My niece has 2 cats and one was seriously ill last week. My niece too the poorly cat to the vet and the vet said he had cat flu. Thankfully after treatment he is much better but now Oscar the other cat has started with it.

Cat flu is very dangerous....I hope they are ok

My two go out but mainly in the garden Sox is very friendly though with passing children ...they know her name and she goes running to them.... its a bit worrying, I might have to keep her in which means I will be very unpopular.
