Losing weight

Hi

One of the known issues about Corona-virus is that if you are overweight it does affect your chances of survival.

It affects the ability of your lungs to supply oxygen, so the larger you are the more effect it has on you.

Simple maths.

The oxygen needs to get to your vital organs.

I am eating a lot of salads at the moment.

Good post Swims.

Being overweight makes you more susceptible to a whole load of other illnesses and diseases also, including diabetes, heart, kidney and lung problems to name but a few.
The answer has always been a good balanced diet offset by plenty of exercise. Its sometimes wrong to limit foods that are good for you just because they are fattening. This is where exercise comes in, using more energy each day allows us to eat a wider variety of foods; A healthy body requires a whole raft of vitamins, minerals and amino acids that just can't be obtained from a limited diet.
