A practical problem

I had these containers delivered this morning for 2 new cordyline plants I want to plant in them.

Unfortunately we can't separate the two containers - it's as though they're stuck together!!

They're made from plastic so not very flexible.

Any ideas?

Stand them in hot water, put cold water in the inside one. Hopefully the outside one will expand a bit more than the inside one. It works with plastic cups.

If Tessa's suggestion doesn't work, do you have access to an air compressor? Push the nozzle gently between the 2 containers and give it blast.

Re: A practical problem

Hi Carol spray a little WD40 around the sides and leave for a while.

If you don't have any try washing up liquid (neat) but I am not so sure this option will work .

Re: A practical problem

Try spraying inside the top one with cold water, hopefully it may contract enough to allow some movement, but do it with the containers on their side so that you don't have to lift the weight of the water.

Hurrah, this worked so no need to try the other suggestions.

Thanks everybody.

Thanks Mags. I spent ages scouring Amazon for them.
