Yes, the sad thing is the number that we lose that we don't even know about.

Wit a solid protocol and plenty of volunteers in place (I'm one) we have a good track record for saving the loggerheads and Kemp's Ridleys in my part of the world.

How lucky you are SM to be able to help in such a worthy cause I found a turtle once in the Caribbean it was very ill we took it to the vets . They couldn’t save it a post-mortem showed its stomach was blocked with plastic .
