A little bit of Cherry Blossom

This was taken with my phone camera while out with the dog. I adore Cherry Blossom, and have noticed over the years, the bloom gets paler and paler as the trees gets older.

Cherry blossom is pretty, Pixie, but a mess when it falls, like my Magnolia.

Yes Tiff....it can be messy indeed! There are a few foreigners where I am, and they shake the branches so the blossom falls off and they take pics of themselves covered in petals. Don't quite get that myself, but maybe its for Instagram or something!

When I read the title of this thread, my first thought was Cherry Blossom shoe polish and the fact I hadn't cleaned my shoes since prior to lockdown.

My drive is covered in Magnolia petals. The patio is covered in Camellia petals. Do you think they like being covered?

I think you are very lucky to have two of Nature's carpets, Tiff. I can imagine they would look lovely.
