Do your history Solasch.
Stop making things up. Or are you ignorant of the role the usa played in your lack of growth post war. On 31 December 2006, Britain made a final payment of about $83m (£45.5m) and thereby discharged the last of its war loans from the US. By the end of World War II Britain had amassed an immense debt of £21 billion. The Labour government faced severe economic challenges—including post-World War II record levels of unemployment and inflation—yet Wilson was able to renegotiate British membership in the EEC, which was confirmed in a referendum in June 1975.

The UK had a socialist government that destroyed our economy.

Socialist government's always end up bankrupting countries.

You see with a bit more attention and fact finding you can see now, how the EU didn't exist in 1975. It was all made up by you like everything else you post on here.

It seems the generation voting in 1975 was more intelligent than the one in 2016.

1975 was a vote on our continued membership with the common market. We never had a vote on EU membership until 2016.

In fact just about all countries rejected the Lisbon Treaty anyway, just the UK did something about it.

Wasn't it the lisbon treaty on the EU that introduced article 50? Good thing for the EU you did something about that.

A50 was actually written by the UK - we knew all along it was a bad idea.

Those that voted were told to vote again too because the answer that was given wasn't the answer the elite wanted

Yes, that applies to several countries. The UK passed the first time, being one of the first to sign.

Re: UK backing down on the NI protocol

Now the EU are backing down I see, going from "we're not gonna sign" to instead making the moves needed before signing.
