You know that.
Not unless you want vaccination to take years.

We are a small enough country to divide the population in different risk groups. My group is about 100.000 inhabitants, netherlands till 4 april had received 125.000 doses.

You are in a minority in the EU.

Re: J&J Vaccine on Hold in the USA and EU

The J & J vaccine uses the same technology as the AZ so the risks are the same. after reviewing the risks Australia is not using the AZ vaccine in people under 50 and because of this is not ordering the J&J vaccine.

I don't see what the problem is with the EU or UK but the one thing you can say is that the more cases and deaths a country has the more efficient their roll out of the vaccine is.

Scotty from Marketing has retreated from any targets ie he now has no plan and is now calling for the National Cabinet to return to fortnightly meetings to organise the rollout of the vaccination program and try to spread the blame a bit.

Australia is currently only doing 417000 vaccinations a week Nationwide, vaccinations are being delivered at a daily rate of roughly 0.2 doses per 100 people. This is 4.5 times slower than the US, three times slower than Canada and the UK, and half the pace of France and Italy.

I think you can forget international travel this year except to NZ.

Australia still has no community cases of covid.

Yep, it is the slowest in the EU. I still am amazed that, being so cheap, the AZ vaccine meets so much resistance over here. Then again, dutch are number crunchers and the low effectiveness of AZ (63%) compared to moderna (94%) may have something to do with that.

Here is another crisis waiting to happen, as the EU decide not to renew contracts for J&J and AZ after vaccine expiry next year.

The people obviously don't matter, or the EMA is buddying up to the FDA to exploit Pfizer.

New innovative techniques. AZ had an edge in quickly developing a vaccine because they used existing techniques. These are now outdated because present developments made mRNA methodes applicable. German scientists were at the forefront of new developments while brits were still fidling around with outdated etc.

Ah, so that's why the Germans are still so far behind in protecting their own people and are as a consequence still seeing so many new infections and fatalities, and are toughening-up on their curfews and getting their parliament to introduce new laws on lockdowns while here in the UK our restrictions are easing and both infections and fatalities are greatly reduced?
Righty-ho.

It's not very innovative cancelling approved vaccines when you're in your situation. In fact its a really stupid thing to do.
