I was born Canadian - but I am british ' and proud to be '
dont know why people blame politicians ' but I suppose they must blame someone - all countries have rubbish politicians all over the world ' but people still stand proud' we are a small island and we have loads of faults 'nothing in this world is perfect - but uk is lovely so pretty 'so old' we have stuff that no other country has , and we have freedom !

Hi

The past is the past, we are no longer the foremost power in the World, we are no longer a huge manufacturing country.

The developing countries will overtake us, they have the natural resources and cheap labour.

It is my view that we need to stop living in the past and draw our necks in.

We need to keep out of others conflicts, severely reduce foreign aid and spend the money here to improve the lives of those who live here.

While I consider myself Canadian and proud of it, I was born in England and I proud of that too.

Canadians, New Zealanders and, yes, even Australians all have very much a common ancestry.

We'd do well to remember that.

It might sound silly, but I'd feel loyalty towards the people of those countries and I'd be very pleased to know that it is reciprocated.

Hmmm ... not sure what you mean by that.

But sure, we are not as patriotic as most people. We are more worldly-wise however.

This is true. We made power electronics mainly for process industries. Paper making, steel mills, anodising, gas compressors......
These industries have almost vanished.

No, I can only be proud of my achievements and the place I was born I had no choice in.
