Re: Female Doctor Who

Presumably she has a script to learn & follow, so I can't see how it's her fault if she has to rattle on, it was written by the writers.

Re: Female Doctor Who

It's not just having a female doctor, though, is it?

They have messed about with the theme tune and other things as well - it is just not scary anymore.

The best Doctors were:-

Jon Pertwee
William Hartnell
David Tennant
Patrick Troughton.

The worst were:-

Peter Capaldi
Matt Smith

Re: Female Doctor Who

This week, the Doctor meets Rosa Parks, the civil rights woman (person, whatever).

That's me out.

I agree.

Like so many other things these days, it is no longer a science fiction programme (yes, for children of all ages!), but has mutated into a PC 'human interest' series.

EDIT: Yes, and Tom Baker of course.

Great pic Tiff. That's what the programme should be about, not a lesson in civil rights.

Re: Female Doctor Who

Thought this weeks was very inspiring episode, yes it was about rosa but many people have never heard of her and this told her story well and showed how one small act can change so much. its back to being a family show imo and we are all enjoying it together.

I agree that Rosa Parks was an inspiration, I have watched and enjoyed documentaries about her but if the BBC are looking for inspirational people, there are plenty to choose from. Someone like Neil Armstrong would have been more appropriate IMO. I just refuse to be part of the BBC's agenda.
