I also remember on Sunday lunchtimes, there was always - "Two Way Family Favourites" playing on the radio.

I would hear them saying "BFPO . . . . " but never knew what it meant.

Oh yes. I remember that one, too.

Gosh, I can still hear his voice shouting
"Wakey Wakey" now, Mags.

Yes, my Grandad used to like that too.

I can remember sitting in the chair in front of the open fire listening to Childrens Hour on the radio & also Mrs. Dales Diary. the Archers & Womans Hour, my Mother listened to the latter. Nearly forgot Dick Barton Special Agent.

All the girls doing PE on the field with their vests tucked inside their knickers........Do they still do that.....

I remember having to do that Foxy.

I remember telling the teacher I felt so cold one day, and was told - "You can't catch cold in your legs - Get on with it."
I don't remember the boys ever being made to run around outside in just their underpants!!


For those girls a little more 'advanced', if it was their time of the month they were allowed to wear shorts instead of just their drawers.

then the whole school knew you it was 'that time of month'
