Re: £50m-worth of jewellery?

Burglars broke into our house while we were away, they were so shocked at the state of the place, they left me a tenner on the table....

All that springs to mind, is relating back to my in-laws, many years ago. They had an inventory done for insurance purposes , less than a month later they were burgled. Those responsible, knew the layout of the house, where to find the most expensive items, and the best way to enter and leave. The family were at home and the dog didn't bark. They knew where the dog slept, and went in from the other side of the building from across the fields at the back. It was only a 15th century cottage with a couple of extensions, so you can imagine how small.
Police reckoned they probably sprayed the dog with something to make it dopey and also that the items would have probably been out of the country by the time the police had been called in the morning.
So ,clearly professionals and maybe this job at Eccleston's is on similar lines.

She will be well insured, and the £ has gone up against the dollar and euro. ! Happy days ..

Talking of insurance PD, maybe its an insurance job, you know,
where you insure your jewels for twice their value and then arrange
tor them to be stolen, usually aiding the burgulars by leaving the
house for a holiday with the alarms switched off?

Yes DM I wondered this . All those cameras and staff . The house wouldn't have been left empty I bet she had house staff live in . It's odd in my opinion . I wouldn't trust these kind of people . They are always in the know .

Apparently there is a rumour that James Stunt, ex husband of Petra Ecclestone, might have something to do with it. He's bankrupt, involved in dodgy fake paintings, and not too fussy about where his dosh comes from. Also a chum of the infamous Addams crime family. I expect The Old Bill will want a chat with him.

Photographs taken of the family on holiday shopping, seems like they are just replacing what was nicked.

DM I saw quite a bit

One was a bloke who owned a care home . Paid his staff minimum wage to look after 25 old folk . He refurbished his own house with beautiful furniture, then put all his old furniture including beds and bedding etc etc into the care home and claimed the new furniture back on his business as expenses .

Another care home went into liquidation and all the people owed money workmen builders etc etc lost their money and after midnight the care home opened in another name. Hence no debts as it was a limited company
