Re: Please Does Anyone Know What This Pink Flowering Plant Is?

Oh No! I don’t want Stinky Bob in my garden.
I was expecting to be told that it was some lovely flower and how lucky l was for it to be growing in my garden! Instead, l am told it’s a rotten stinking weed!

‘Tis true, it’s pretty but the more l read about it, the more l don’t want it in my garden!

Thank You, TessA, Tiffany, Longy, Percy Vere, Baz and PXExtreme for helping me.

Re: Please Does Anyone Know What This Pink Flowering Plant Is?

It does have it's uses though -

1) It is edible, and the leaves can be eaten fresh or steeped as a tea.

2) A ring of herb Robert around your garden is supposed to keep away deer, cats and rabbits.

3) It is a food for bees, long-tongued hover flies and the Barred Carpet moth.

Medicinally - Herb Robert is used for stopping diarrhea; improving liver/gall bladder functions and to prevent the formation of stones in the kidneys.

Here is what the RHS say about it:-
