Re: Swiss Army Knives

I have a number of Swiss Army Knives (SAK's)

They are way more robust than many would believe.
I have carried one daily for years, which has regular use and is still ok.
I've been using / collecting knives for many years, and I still rate sak's very highly indeed.

Here are just some I have...

Re: Swiss Army Knives

Did the Swiss ever really use these - or is it just a marketing ploy?

They look really useful anyway - maybe I should have one.

Would it be classed as an 'offensive weapon' by our police?

Re: Swiss Army Knives

I believe I am right in saying one is not permitted to carry any sort of knife, when one is out and about.

You are allowed to carry a folding knife ie pen knife whilst out and about .

That's why I've got two (almost identical) - the oldest became battered over the years. I repaired it several times then decided to buy one for the backpack and keep the other at home .....
