That Kama Sutra book always looked like a lot of hard work to me RJ, 101 ways of making one look like a naked gobshite with the possibly of crippling oneself for life in the process, I’m old fashioned and like to be parallel whilst indulging it that sort of thing, I was never the adventurous type anyway.

I’ve heard highly educated people say a lot of stupid things over the years, but I thought most of them would see the error in using that silly expression “He reinvented himself” or so and so “Reinvented the vacuum cleaner”Even I with basic education know that once something has been invented it stays invented, oh yes it can be improved upon and altered, but never reinvented. Same with people, even though people are not inventions, they are the result of millions of years of animal evolution, they may be able to change their appearance and adjust their personalities, but no more.
Sad to hear learned folks use such untrue words, while still looking down on the unwashed.
Only yesterday at lunchtime in the local a professor from the newly opened college nearby dropped in for a sandwich and a pint, he turns to me and says “I’ll bet you knew a few of the real old spit and sawdust pubs in your day?” “I did indeed” says I “Well how do you like the new smoke free reinvented pubs now?”
I would have loved to hit him with an ash tray, but there ain’t none in these new reinvented smoke free pubs.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS REINVENTION.

I'm at your side holding up the flag of grammatical accuracy,Jem.ReSTYLED,yes. Improved,...well,ok; [it's actually a matter of preference] or even regenerated....but 'reinvented' oh,P155 off!
Bring back the dart-throwing,Guinness-swilling,insult-swapping,ashtray-filling,happy,pool-playing pub;along with the clientele who were everyday people,communing,caring and covering for their neighbours,their friends and their locale. Today,those people are sat at home watching Beastenders,Constipation Street and policemen pulling up stolen cars/drunk drivers/cannibis users,ALL of whom get a tuppenny fine and a 'suspended sentence' of a few weeks,plus 6 points on a driving licence they haven't got anyway-WHAT is the point of banning a stoned,gobby teenager from driving,when he/she's already driving without a licence,in a stolen car,whils't stoned out of his/her tree?!? Bring back public lashing,I say-and the stocks. [je suis extremely forgiving regarding ar5ehole5 that ignore/laugh at laws put in place to protect,not to subjugate. I imagine that shows?]
