They don't have to. It's Eire's problem not ours.

They're the only one's who want a hard border.

I find it amusing that the EU are able to manage a frictionless border between Switzerland ( Not in the customs union) and Austria/France/Italy/Germany and yet seem to lack the imagination....( or is it the will? ) to create a similar arrangement twixt the UK and Eire.
