I used to go to two hour weekly classes for ten years to learn Chinese Painting from a wonderful Malaysian Female Tutor
Apart from a few classes of Watercolour and oils, I am self-taught from Books, and Videos.
I found that there are no many good Art tutors, as they don't give demonstrations, apart from my Malaysian Tutor who would demonstrate for 30 minutes or more.
I did a sculpture class for 12 lessons and enjoyed it, but it was cancelled as people could not afford the cost of clay and the models.
It is difficult to do at home as it is so messy and you need a Kiln for firing the sculptures as well.
