Could it be some legacy of the Cold War when the Soviet Union backed the Arab states and vilified Israel because it was supported by the USA?
Then every good leftie followed the lead of he Soviets and hated the capitalist USA.
Now there is no more Soviet Union they are all becoming capitalists as fast as they can .
However for old lefties the hatred of Israel just lingers on .....

Except rants, albeit from a tiny heart thumping ardently in a heaving breast are not really facts.Fact remains Israel held up 8 years of Palestinian mail for no apparent good reason.
