Grants given to the Hunts

You know how some businesses have been able to get government cash help during the current Covid crisis, well what do you think of this lot?

*

"Shropshire County Council have been criticised for "disgraceful" use of public funds for spending £50,000 on supporting the hunt during the covid crisis.

Shadow Environment Secretary Luke Pollard said: " It is outrageous that public money is going to support fox hunting. Rural communities need proper support, not propping up a barbaric practice that should be consigned to history."

The given grants were discovered through a Freedom of Information request by an animal rights crusador."

*

How do they keep getting away with it, when the law changed back in 2004 to make hunting with dogs illegal?

Hooligans and killers, masquerading as toffs.
That is my opinion of the hunting fraternity.

Re: Grants given to the Hunts

P.S. I have taken this from a website:
The question was asked . . . .

Q: How can I get involved in trail-hunting?

A.
You can’t. The hunts are so secretive now you have to be recommended by someone within the hunt and as they are shunned by normal people in society the only new members are those they breed themselves and brain wash into thinking this outdated behaviour is acceptable.

That says enough, to me.

Foxes are also a vector for the transmission of bovine TB to cattle so the sooner they are culled along with an excess of badgers the better imho.

Yes, this is the problem when town folk become involved with matters of the farming community

The farming community are not all against foxes .
The fox usually hunts rats and rabbits enemies of the arable farmer.
It only gets chickens when the owner has not made his chicken house secure enough .
Foxes rarely take livestock they are too small but may attack new lambs
If a farmer has trouble with a fox he generally shoots it.
Allowing a load of hooray harries and harriets charge across fields of livestock does them no good either .
Hunts have to maintain a fund to pay off farmers whose livestock their hounds have killed /fences / crops they have damaged .
Of course some farmers like to hunt too but it’s all for show it’s not an effective method of fox control .
