Re: My short break in Scarborough & Saltburnn

Nice photos. Shame about the hotel, we´ve often found that hotels calling themselves "grand" are usually anything but !

Well you certainly looked liked you enjoyed yourself Carol.

We are off to Scarborough in two weeks time, so looking forward to the trip, will be walking in some of your foot steps

Great photo's Carol. I used to live near Pickering and the north York moors, and Hutton -le Hole is still a place I visit regularly. Pleased you enjoyed your time there. Hope you tried the north York railway. Looks like you enjoyed your hols. certainly a peaceful place.

For some reason my gadget has finally decided to let me see your slideshow. Glad you enjoyed yourself but all those steps would just about finish me off....

Lovely piccies, I love Saltburn and enjoy Scarborough when it's not too busy. Shame about the hotel, though, think some of these big old places need a sympathetic revamp.
As long as you enjoyed it, that's the main thing - and the sun shone, too, always a bonus on the East coast.

The Grand Hotel used to be really beautiful when it was still privately owned. Then Butlin's took it over and it went down hill - don't know who owns it now.
