parcel delivery

I am waiting for a delivery via Yodel . Just spoken the the driver and he says I should with luck get it by 5.30pm.
He said I should ignore the delivery details as they are never right, and that is from someone who works for them
To me it looks as if it was on the first delivery round and now on the next. So my computer will have to wait now until tomorrow for the power unit upgrade. Now wonder that the Yodel site only has a 3 star rating out of a 5 start rating.

Depot one and a half hours away yet takes 9 hours to deliver

Re: parcel delivery

Yodel never give delivery times other than ' your parcel will be delivered today before 2130 hrs, they're the biggest pile if crap ever to Use a postcode.

Off your Yodel tracking is the next stage which says 'your parcel is with your delivery driver and will be delivered before 2130'
That is the final leg of tracking.

You aren't the only customer.
If you are in such a hurry or expect immediate delivery then may I suggest a 3 hour+ drive?

Yodel must work very late they rang our doorbell at 11pm last night ! We'd been asleep for couple of hours by then so rather groggily answered the door.

Re: parcel delivery

Most delivery companies are useless. I had the misfortune of working for one of them for a couple of weeks. Anything marked fragile goes directly to the bottom of the pile.

There was a consignment of brand new Sony tvs which were being returned due to a faulty on/off switch (No surprise there). I was taking them off the conveyor belt and stacking them in the back of a lorry. I was told by the manager to stop wasting time and to just let them fall off.

Re: parcel delivery

Someone from our committee had ordered two huge bags of dog food from an online supplier, and had paid extra for a certain day of delivery when she was not at work. She stayed in all day, went to work the next day (she works Mon, Wed, Friday), only to have a failed delivery on the Friday!

She then re-scheduled for Tuesday of this week and by 5.30, when her sister was home from work and the lady went to the allotment to take our mutual friend home, it hadn't arrived! I said to friend, I bet the company are using Yodel. Be interested to know if that was the case, or whether they knocked on her door at 11pm.
