Re: What Masks do you wear?

I wear a single use Tesco special, but I've managed to make it last for three weeks. I have another one that cost me a fiver and is reusable, but it makes me look like Darth Vader so I only wear it to funerals or robberies! I never wear gloves except to keep my hands warm while out running, I just don't touch my face, and wash my hands whenever I arrive home. The virus doesn't have any 'Superpowers' contrary to what you read on the net and see on the telly, and it has to find it's way up your nose. My routine must be working because I haven't caught the virus yet....

I agree with you Foxy. If you are going to get it, you will get it. Wearing the mask just falls in with the law so we have to do it. I always feels a bit weird masking up before entering a petrol station. This time last year, thee police would have been called.

Washing hands and wearing gloves do not seem to be compatible.

That's right Longdogs, I'm not complacent, but we shop just twice a week and it takes about half an hour each time. Apart from running out in the country early in the morning, and the occasional walk, that is the maximum amount of time I spend outside.

The last time I had the flu was 1995 despite it circulating every year. So my lifestyle must be ideal for keeping virus free...

I also use hand sanitizer when I go into shops, I take my own with me, in a little bottle, I buy those in Tesco & keep one in my pocket.
I have seen people using face protectors instead of masks & they seem to be as good as a mask. Even masks aren't 100% safe so they say, it is better to use those & keep the 2 meter distance which I do every time I go anywhere.
