Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Cold and rainy this morning.
Granddaughter and family came back from Blue Stone yesterday, the children had a wonderful time-so did the parents!
Santa's coming through the village on his tractor at 6.30 this evening, there's usually children in elf costumes walking and collecting money for local charities but Covid has put a stop to that this year.
Keep safe.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Bit of a shock when I got up this morning, we must have had a covering of snow overnight. However, it soon melted so I braved an expedition to Hay to get some bits. Saw my "next door " neighbour coming in to the shop as I was going out - haven't seen her since May!

We're all upset here about the decision of our local pub to close down after take-aways this evening and not open again until next March. Same with the Metropole (big hotel in Llandrindod) and Foyle's (posh restaurant). In a way we are lucky - if desperate we can travel ten miles over the border to the first pub in England! (Serves lovely meals).

Game day again, wonder what the result will be this time......

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I only saw the first half of yesterday's game - bit underwhelming - got hooked on the snooker! Finals today, will be glued to that!

Cold one here today. Made another big pan of soup - seem to be living on it atm. That's not quite true, there's loads of odds and ends in the freezer to be finished up!

Have done my Christmas cards, but still not done much about presents - may be getting some cash to send out and probably loads of chocs.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Tried to stay up to watch the end of the snooker last night, but had to give up at midnight - couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. The "Thunder from Down Under" Neil Robertson won in the end - my money was on him!

Spent all morning pottering about, putting things away etc. Oil has been delivered so we will be warm over Christmas
