Mobile phone for the elderly.

Can anybody recommend a really simple & easy to use mobile phone please?

I'm trying to help my friend make a choice. She's not on the internet & isn't at all computer savvy.. At the moment she has an old Nokia that her relative gave her but she isn't coping with it.

I don't want to look on the internet for one. I'd rather have personal recommendations if possible. Thanks.

I know a couple of old folk like that, and they both use a Doro ...

... when confused or when ending a call you simply close it. Open to start again.

Thanks - the name Doro keeps cropping up.

So many models. I will look into them for her.

Re: Mobile phone for the elderly.

My elderly Aunt had one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Doro-Unlock.../dp/B075JGQ78B

She struggled with smartphones because her hands would sometimes shake and thus her finger would glide across the touch screen thus opening or activating stuff on the phone all the time. As she lived alone (uncle passed away years before her), she was always worried about being in a situation where she was not able to help herself and the phone having an 'assist' button which was assigned to her niece's phone, meant she was able to call her niece who lived close to her.

The phone allowed her to keep in touch with the family without it having to be complicated for her to do so and having the 'assist' button gave her piece of mind and confidence to go about her daily life knowing if something happened, she could press the assist button and her niece would be there for her. Plus the phone had the added bonus of being cheap

Hi Carol my last 2 mobile phones have been Doros, the text is large and they don't need charging all the time.
My current one is is a 6050 and I have had it 2 years with no problems.
