As l’ve mentioned before on here, l make Elderflower wine and it’s fragrant and healthy. It’s not thirst quenching!

The drawback is, it’s very strong and l learned my lesson when l drove my ride-on mower into the bushes in my garden after drinking it!!

Meg, l can imagine that! It is so powerful but l genuinely feel it is medicinal.

.... but 4years old and drinking it? It’s a wonder you didn’t have to have your stomach pumped!!

Used to distil our own gin. Now that was potent.

Cost effective too. About £2.50 a litre

I tried gin for the first time when my daughter was 18. I had a similar experience to Meg and thought "oh this is nice, I'm not getting drunk at all, this is lovely........."

Fell asleep on the floor for about 15 hours.

Thing is NOBODY moved me?! I was mortified and didn't leave the house for 3 days in shame. I only have gin once in a blue moon now.

Meg, l have never made Elderberry wine as l think it might be very heavy. The Elderflower is lighter but very potent!

It’s a wonder that you weren’t sick after it!!
