I have found my old book of quotes.
I will have some fun with them soon.
I do love my old books.

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

There was a fella on the panel of judges on TV last night, the program is called “Dancing with the Stars” and it’s similar to “Come Dancing”.
Now normally I’d give this type of program a wide berth but the wife watches it and I’m too lazy to shift off the armchair by the fire to go into another room to watch something else so I suffered it out.
Anyway this chap in his 40’s was dressed in a big red blouse thing with a huge red flower standing up a good 10 inches on his left shoulder, like an overfed pet Parrot on his shoulder. The commentator asked him why was he waring such an unusual costume. This is what he said.
“It’s Valentines, and I’m a rose in bloom”
Some bloody rose, he ought to have more sense, what is the world coming to I ask you!, a rose in bloom how are yeh.
Here he is on the right in another costume, he seems to have an urge to wear something on his left shoulder, but far be it for me to judge anyone, there are those who would say he’s just being flamboyant, and there are others who would say he’s just being a gobshite, take your pick.
.

That reminds me Gummy, what are you dressing up as for Valentines, a wallflower perhaps? I’ll have a look in the potting shed and see if I can find something suitable for myself, Phyllis says I’d make a lovely Lily in bloom.
