Re: What Items Would You Be Too Embarrassed To Buy Over The Counter?

The first time I needed to buy condoms was when I was too young to go into a pub and get some from a vending machine, so I went to the chemist at the top of my parents' street.

After looking hopelessly at the range on offer, I plucked up the courage to ask the (very gorgeous) young female assistant for some in a timid, embarrassed whisper.
She looked me up and down and said, quite loudly, "I think you'll be needing EXTRA LARGE sir!". I suddenly felt both extremely self-conscious and rather smug at the same time and like I was going to wee.

Sadly, the blind date the lads at work had set me up for didn't even show up, so I think I ditched the flowers I had in a bin and the condoms remained in my wallet for at least a year until they were put to some fruitful use.

Are you sure? I'd have thought it would have been ... 'Throw it on the barbie'.
