Halifax fraud call ????

Just had a phone call from what may be a scam from the "halifax fraud dept" . Now me being me I am very suspicious. Looked up the phone number and some say scam other say genuine. So will get sue to ring the number on the back of the card when she get home.
Worse still it was an automated call , so beware if you get the same on

Do not reply to it check your contact number on your card a and ring that instead

Ring from a different phone and ring the number you have for your bank on paperwork from them.
I mentioned a scam students have been caught by on a different thread, I think the number was their bank number and they had a lot of details of their account.
Be careful, they're getting very clever
