Re: Childhood songs

Talking of childhood favourites, a couple of decades ago, when I was much more agile I have to say, I was busy hoovering and jigging away whilst singing "oo ee oo ah ah, bing bang walla walla bing bang" when my then ten year old came in and looked at me quite askance. He just would not believe that it was a real song. But then later that year we went to Weston Park where there was a vintage car rally, and part of the show consisted of several of those huge American 'boats' with the massive fins etc. and playing over the loudspeakers was The Witch Doctor, his face was a picture, especially when it was followed by UJ's contribution The Flying Purple People Eater, another he was sure I had invented.

Re: Childhood songs

By the way, am I miss remembering this or did the Warshaw Concerto feature in an old black and white film? Or was it Moonlight Sonata, or even both?

DM - Warsaw Concerto featured in the film"Dangerous Moonlight" starring Anton Walbrook.

And whilst we're recalling films of that era - how about this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsJBzXGNUKw
