You won't find many green cars at racetracks because they are also considered unlucky.
Correct Mags except for MOD cars, they used to be dark green.

Re: colour of cars

I had a light metallic green Honda Jazz a few years ago, and very nice it was too. My latest Jazz is royal blue.

But that was in the days when F1 cars were painted in their nation's racing colours, Hence (from memory) all German cars were silver, French - blue and Italy - red and Britain - green; no doubt there are other colours but those are all I can remember.

With the commercialisation of the sport those colours have largely gone by the board.

I suspect car colours these days are dictated by fashion I have noticed a lot of green cars recently so it is coming back. EG my youngest son's new Holden ute (a boy's toy)

Re: colour of cars

I had a green car once, it was a Stanza and a kind of Opal Fruit metallic green, it was lovely

Yes, there is this thing that green is unlucky, not sure why. I decorated my dining room in green (pastel shades with moss green curtains) and my mother walked in and said 'How could you, don't you know green is unlucky'
