Anyone remember how in Italy you were required to keep the receipt a shop was compelled to give you untill you exited the shop? Or the few sweets they gave you as part of the change?

No Brainer!



Saying no to a receipt means you can't bring it back, even if it gives you food poisoning, or doesn't work properly or is the wrong size, etc., etc., etc.,

The receipt shows the next shop that you did not nick the item.

You can even use it to update your bank account.

Saying Yes to a receipt costs you nothing!

Apart for things which only cost a bob or two I keep my receipts until I have time to knock them off my running balance that I keep. After I have knocked them off my running bank balance, I keep the high value ones and throw the rest, including food receipts.

If I pay by card I save them of course for when my statement comes.

Paying by cash - I have a quick glance & then throw them away.

As a live long horder I keep all my receipt close to my computer so I may peruse them at any time.
