Re: Do you have too much stuff on your phone?

Social media apps like Facebook (especially Facebook) take up so much space on your phone plus they slow it down a lot unless you're using a high-end phone but I still wouldn't recommend them.

Fairly easy for me as I have no interest in social media except forums.

Loads on my phone. It just grew and grew.
I have a ping whenever I can tap into free WiFi.
Oh and a ping, from my news app.
Lots of different pings for things.

I turned my pings off they pinged at inconvenient moments, quite distracting I found them.

If it's an iPhone you would just go into notifications then apps, there should be a box you can untick if you don't want notifications pinging.

Just the same sweetie go into settings and find notifications I have to turn each one off individually but it is worth it.

Re: Do you have too much stuff on your phone?

Don't know much about iPhones as I don't have more money than sense but I am familiar with Android. One of the reasons Apple phones needed so much memory was because you could not put in a SD card to supplement the built in storage (don't know if that is still true)

It is not really the total memory of a phone that is important but what they call RAM which is the working area of the phone. I seem to recall that the iphone had 1Gb all the rest was storage whereas my Samsung has 3Gb of RAM plus 32Gb of internal storage plus 32Gb external storage (a Micro SD card - I think it can be up to 254Gb but currently I am only using 7Gb of the 32Gb so no need to expand it.)

The real limiting factor is the working memory (RAM) but mine even with many apps still has heaps left. An advantage of the later version of Android is that apps can be told to use the SD card so they take up less RAM.
