Charities
My husband and I have given quite generously I charities over years. We make one off payments when we see the need. But we get really irritated when they waste money sending us begging letters, sometimes with a gift like a pen! We don't support animal charities, humans always come first with us, yet I have had several from a cat's charity containing greetings cards, and address labels with my name on them. Of course I binned them.

I prefer to actually give time to a charity that way I can see what they do with my donation. I've helped a dog rescue for years, give blankets etc to homeless, we also tithe a sum each month to a small charity helps with education of Romany children, my husband goes and works at the charity for a couple of hours a month too so we are sure money is being used well.We've adopted a few wild animals too over the years and planted trees and plants.
Wish we could do more but until we stop working that's all we can manage.
