Re: Do you use a teapot?

We have two cups of tea a day, lunchtime and mid afternoon, and two cups of instant coffee a day at breakfast time and mid morning. Apart from that we drink water.

Re: Do you use a teapot?

I use a teapot and put the teabags into it just as I would if I were faffing about with loose tea.
Give it a stir, leave a couple of minutes and then pour...
I maintain the tea is far nicer and has a kind of fuller flavour than if its made in the mug.

Re: Do you use a teapot?

I have 3 teapots, one is an antique family pot with matching cream and sugar, the other two are for "just in case" None have been used in years.

Oh No, l never stir the tea/teabags in the teapot, it’s bad luck!!
I sort of prod!!

I did find at first, when l changed from loose tea to teabags, that the teabags had a tang...?from the paper bags?

I was told it was unlucky to stir tea, you should turn the pot, so I still do that.

Off and on I use a stainless steel teapot, part of a set bought us for a wedding present over 50 years ago.

Teabags for us every time, so much easier than loose tea.

The housekeeper insists that we use a teapot, it’s a class thing
