Going Bald.

Hi

A man thing.

How do you cope?

Always had a good head of hair, light brown.

These last six weeks, being ill, I have lost my hair and it has gone to silver.

Never handsome, I now look like a complete thug.

Any ideas?

Re: Going Bald.

Don't stress about it Swimmy you have done well to hang on to your hair this long, many don't including my son who started to go bald in his 30's as did his Father.

Keep the hair you have left well trimmed and I am sure you will retain your previous good looks .

Have a buzz cut and you will be right up to date
Or wear a nice tweed flat cap and look like a country gent .

It's not until your barber shows the back of your head with their mirror, that you get a complete shock, at how thin your'e getting on top. At least one does'nt need to go for a hairpiece. Remember them ghastly Crown Topper wigs!?

Bald is beautiful, balance it out with a luxurious beard.
It sounds like you're becoming a "Silver Fox", embrace it

A man thing mostly but thinning of the hair can happen to women too. I have quite a bit of hair left but it's certainly not the mop that it was 20 years ago.

Re: Going Bald.

Luckily the men in my family don't go bald. My grandad still had thick hair when he was in his late eighties, same with my Dad and same for me. We do tend to go silver/grey a bit earlier than most though.

If I was going bald, I think i would just have it all shaved quite close, maybe a 3 or 4.

I think a close shave looks best too.
