Re: A good night out - spoiled!

There was an Indian in Albert Square called the Argee Bhajee .... sounds like an apt name for this place.

Hi

I have replied Realist.

I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

I am a happy Womble, most of my neighbours are good honest people, never earn a fortune, but hard working decent folks.

The area is on the up, lots of New Build.

The Locals are trying their best to upgrade the area.

We have litter patrols and clearances.

The locals are gaining confidence

Yes, there are a few Prats, but they can be dealt with.

Violent and aggressive they may be, but have not have the years of training, paid for by the Taxpayer that I and others moving in have.

We are less than 2 Miles from the Local Police HQ.

House prices are up and continuing to go up.

The Prats are losing out, and long may it continue.

The biggest Prats where moved in next door to me by the LA.

That is not a situation which will continue.

Such is life, we all have our issues.

I can't understand why parents just let their children run riot in an eating establishment. A quick grab of their collar and shoved to the chair, with a stern 'now SIT, and don't move!' should deal with it.

But then I'm not a parent so what do I know, lol?

Re: A good night out - spoiled!

Ive seen parents forcing electronic tablets and gaming devices in front of their children in a bid to stop them misbehaving!
Whatever happened to conversation?
I know we always chatted or played word games or I spy with our 3 and they were always well behaved and appreciated the food and family togetherness.
I think some parents these days think screens are the answer to everything!

Re: A good night out - spoiled!

there's only one way to go - decisive action and threatening the establishment!

a mate of mine and I would often catch up after work for a few pints in one of our local hostels - sometimes had a meal - this particular night we booked a table in the restaurant and sat down with our drinks. 5 mins later a mother with three kids were ushered on the next table and the kids were of course messing about.

My mate said I cannot tolerate this and will walk out in a min. wait I said I'll fix it so off to the head waiter and explained that my mate had just recently come out of a lunatic asylum and was usually OK but screaming kids gets to him and if you don't move them I cannot be responsible for what might happen?

she reluctantly obliged and we had a pleasant meal. Sometimes ya gotta think quick and be assertive - you don't have to take the crap!

I wasn't, I knew they were more scared of getting a good kicking.

I am not a nice man, I do not like violence, but I will use it against those who prey on women and kids.

Threaten violence against a Woman or a Child and I am a complete Nightmare.
What has that to do with my night out, Swimmy?

Re: A good night out - spoiled!

I fail to understand ...

a) Why parents allow their children to behave so obnoxiously - and -

b) Why the management did not ask them to control the brats or leave.

Let's face it - if one of those children had been scalded by hot food or slipped on the chips and hurt themselves - who would the parents have blamed?

I'm afraid you've completely lost me now, Swim

I remember you posting this before, about your ex and her job, but I cannot follow what is has to do with Tabby's Indian meal and night out with friends?

Am I not grasping something here?

I agree, Jazzi.
My son took me out for Sunday dinner a few weeks back, and that was spoilt by noisy, screeching brats on two other tables as well.

The parents seem oblivious to it, and just carry on as normal.
