Perhaps either someone's who's job it is, or else someone who steals sheep regularly and knows his stuff, I would have thought.

A year ago another farmer found the remains of 11 of his sheep down Oxford way.

There must have been several people working together on this, because if one sheep at a time was caught it would send out an alarm call, and the rest of the flock would run off.
So to catch a whole group must have taken a bit of man power.
How do they know they were professionally. butchered if they weren't there ?
I mean did they leave parts of the carcase in the field or the fleece ?

I considered becoming vegi until I read about the cruelty of baby carrots being taken from their mothers at such a young age

Ahhhh but if you didn't eat meat, and lots of others did the same, the farmers would lose their market for lamb and would stop sheep husbandry, and then you'd not see any lambs in the fields nearby.
